The Hashemite Charitable Organization prepared and flew a humanitarian and relief aid plane to Libya in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs and the Jordanian Armed Forces/Air Force, in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The first plane carried emergency relief materials consisting of tents, blankets, mattresses, and food parcels, and coordination was made with the relevant authorities in Libya to be delivered to all areas affected by the hurricane and areas struck by floods, and distributed to the deserving afflicted families.
Secretary General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization, Hussein Al-Shibli, said: “We are working in the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces and security services, to prepare and send relief aid with unified efforts to implement the High Royal Directives, and after the appeal launched by the Libyan government to the international community to extend a hand.” Aid and supplying it with the necessary relief materials due to the devastation that befell the country as a result of the hurricane and flood, and standing by our Libyan brothers under these circumstances.”
