Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Mr. Makram Al-Qaisi, the College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted the American Meat Cooking Competition for youth, which is organized by the American Meat Exporters Association in cooperation with the Jordanian Chefs Association.
24 participants from various specialized colleges, training centers and the hospitality sector participated in the competition, who received prior training in cooking meat and obtained certificates of participation, 6 of whom qualified for the final stage. This competition is held in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan and aims to develop young people’s culinary skills. And help them build a prosperous future in the field of hospitality and culinary arts.
In conclusion, His Excellency the Minister and President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, handed over medals and financial prizes to the winners.
Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan also presented the university’s commemorative shield in honor of His Excellency the Minister in appreciation of his efforts in supporting this initiative.
It is noteworthy that the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts program was created at the university in the year 2021 and developed into the College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality in the year 2023, which aims to graduate trained and qualified cadres capable of leading the Jordanian hospitality sector into a new advanced era in global competitiveness.
