Yesterday evening, Monday, 9/18/2023, His Excellency Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, sponsored the university’s celebration of the graduation of its students for the summer semester from the 30th cohort, in the presence of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors, and Professor Omar Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. Directors, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, Vice Presidents, Deans, members of the teaching and administrative bodies, and a large crowd of relatives of graduate students and invitees.

The ceremony began with the Royal Salute, then fragrant verses from the Holy Qur’an, recited by student Adam Al-Hadidi from the College of Hospitality and Culinary Arts.

• The university’s speech was delivered by Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, the university’s president, in which he welcomed the sponsor of the ceremony and his companions, addressing the graduates and attendees, saying:

Firstly, I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to you at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, which today celebrates the graduation of the thirtieth batch of students graduating from the summer semester of the academic year 2022-2023.

It is a matter of pride and honor to be here today at a university that has illuminated the sky of higher education in Jordan with the light of development, leadership and innovation, since its founding as the first private university in Jordan more than thirty-three years ago at the hands of the late founder Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani, until it became a beacon of knowledge and a center for cultural radiance. .

He added: Al-Ahliyya Amman University bears the burden of excellence and embodies the spirit of the nation and the meaning of science and knowledge, thanks to the great and continuous support of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Kabariti, the kind Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and all the university’s employees, including members of the teaching and administrative bodies, until it has become a source of inspiration. And motivation for future generations because of the honorable history it holds and the promising and bright future of its graduate students.

Then he said about the university’s distinction in international classifications:

On this special day, we are proud to announce to you the achievement achieved by Al-Ahliyya Amman University, where it shined and was distinguished by being ranked 801-850 among the best universities in the world according to the QS World Ranking, in addition to obtaining first place among private Jordanian universities and third place among universities. Jordanian government and private.

This classification embodies the university’s exceptional and distinguished position in the field of higher education, and marks for us an achievement that invites all of you as graduates to be proud of your university, and reflects the dedication and great effort that the university puts into developing education and scientific research, to keep its legacy engraved in golden letters on the board of honor among the prestigious universities.

Then he talked about the colleges and specializations created at the university to keep pace with scientific development and excellence, and that meet the requirements of the labor market, saying: Al-Ahliyya
Amman University reflects a future vision and commitment to academic excellence as a pioneering educational institution that always seeks to keep pace with developments in science and technology, and this is clearly evident through the development of many New specializations for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, to keep pace with the changing needs of the local, regional and global labor market, by providing opportunities for students to discover new fields and sciences in an advanced and sophisticated educational style.

This is clearly demonstrated by the establishment of a college of dentistry, as this college has been prepared to keep pace with the global labor market and equipped with the latest global technologies to begin in this field where others left off, and to be the first of its kind at the level of Jordan and the Middle East, and students have begun to be accepted for the first semester of 2023. -2024.

The College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts and the College of Agricultural Technology were also recently created, in addition to the creation of specializations (e-marketing and digital communication - financial technology - business analysis technology) in the College of Business, and the specialization of robotics engineering and artificial intelligence in the College of Engineering, in addition to the specialization of physical therapy and the specialization of technology. Biopharmaceuticals at the College of Allied Medical Sciences.

At the master’s level, master’s programs have been created in (communication sciences and disorders - audiology - biomedical engineering - construction engineering and project management - sports sciences - nursing sciences)

He addressed the graduates, saying:

I congratulate you on my own behalf and on behalf of the members of the teaching and administrative staff, and we express to you our pride in what you have achieved throughout your years of study at the university. You have built a foundation for a bright future, leaving an imprint that bears the burden of change. We are confident that you will be pioneers and innovators in your various fields. Congratulations to you. What your hands have made.

He congratulated the graduates' families by saying:

I do not miss sending a message of thanks and appreciation to the fathers, mothers and guardians who have made great and precious efforts to reach this day... as your support and encouragement for your children is an integral part of their success. I ask the graduates to stand up and greet the parents.

He concluded his speech by saying:

May God grant us all success to serve our university and serve our dear Jordan under the presence of His Hashemite Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and his faithful Crown Prince.

• This was followed by the sponsor of the ceremony, along with Dr. Maher Al-Hourani and Dr. Sari Hamdan, honoring two distinguished professors in the field of scientific research, namely:

1- Professor Dr. Ahmed Samed Abu Orabi Al-Adwan from the College of Business was named the best researcher at the level of the university’s humanities faculties for the academic year 2022-2023, with a total of 63 points distributed among 23 papers published in magazines classified in the Scopus databases of the first and second categories.

2- Dr. Lubna Fayez Abdullah Gharaibeh from the College of Pharmacy as the best researcher at the level of scientific colleges at the university for the academic year 2022-2023, with a total of 23.5 points distributed among 12 papers published in journals classified in the Scopus databases of the first and second categories.

Then, student Shorouk Abu Rumman from the College of Graduate Studies delivered a speech to the graduates, male and female, in which she welcomed the sponsor of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the President of the University, the deans, professors, and the attendees, and she addressed her fellow graduates, saying:

A day we had waited for so long that God granted us the grace to wear graduation gowns and see the joy of mothers and fathers.

Then she expressed her gratitude to her parents and expressed her pride in being their daughter... She thanked the professors for their efforts, congratulated the graduates and their families, stressing that the short journey had ended and the longer journey had begun, wishing the male and female graduates success in their academic and professional lives.
