Oil expert Hashem Aqel expected that fuel prices would rise locally, with the price for next October going from 1% to 3%.
Aqel said that the price of a liter of 90 octane gasoline is expected to rise by a piaster and a half, by up to 1.5%, and he expected the price of 95 octane gasoline to rise by a piaster and a half, by 1%.
He indicated that the highest increase will be for diesel, as the price of one liter is expected to rise by two and a half cents, by 3%.
He pointed out that this rise comes in light of the presence of strong factors affecting global oil prices, which are exerting strong pressure as a result of the Saudi-Russian voluntary reduction and the improvement in Chinese demand.
