The Eye on Jerusalem program, which was shown on Jordanian television yesterday, Monday, monitored the occupation authorities planting fake graves in the town of Silwan and a number of areas surrounding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.



In its weekly video report in Jerusalem, the program presented the tragedy of Hajja Wafa al-Abbasi from the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, whose surroundings turned into a Jewish cemetery overnight, after the Elad Settlement Association planted fake Jewish graves in the lands surrounding her house in Wadi al-Rababa, pointing out She has not seen any of these "fake" graves in her life since her childhood.



Hajja Wafa confirmed that she lived her childhood in this place and there was nothing in it, noting that she woke up one day and one night to find these graves.

She added that she is surprised by what is happening, as it is known that the dead dies, and then his family digs a grave for him and bury him, but what is happening here is exactly the opposite, as the graves are planted without dead and only fake graves are made of stones.

The report also presented scenes documented a few weeks ago by activists showing that the land is free of any planted graves. It also presented scenes documented by the program’s camera during the preparation of the report of mechanisms transporting stones to the area, noting that eyewitnesses confirmed that the El-Ad settlement association began several years ago. Weeks by bringing these stones in large carts, and that the residents of the neighborhood objected to this action, but the association did not respond to them, claiming that the area was a cemetery for Jews, and that it was rehabilitating the area as it claimed.



The report made it clear that the occupation’s silent policy of planting fake graves in the neighborhoods surrounding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is not new, as it had previously planted thousands of these graves in separate areas such as Al-Tantour and Wadi Al-Rababa in the vicinity of Silwan town, despite the absence of any tangible evidence of human bones. Pointing out that after the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967, the occupation authorities seized tens of dunams of Palestinian lands and turned them into modern and fictitious cemeteries as part of their efforts to obliterate the Arab and Islamic identity of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.



Abu Sneineh indicated that the area of ​​these lands is 35 dunums, and that his mother - may God have mercy on her - told him that she had never seen a single burial in these lands in her life, even though she used to live near them, adding that the occupation authorities claim that the heart of the neighborhood in which he lives is more than 300 people are also an area of ​​Jewish cemeteries, and that what is happening is displacement and appropriation through clear attempts to control the neighborhood with the aim of building a settlement, which is evident through the infrastructure established by the occupation municipality in the area, pointing out that the main goal of taking over the neighborhood is to surround the mosque.
