The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Danish company (AP Moller Maersk) signed today, Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of green marine fuel production, within the framework of the Kingdom's direction to expand clean energy sources and enhance local energy sources in the total energy mix.

The memorandum was signed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Deputy Director of (AP Muller Maersk) and Director of Emission Reduction in the company, Morten Christiansen. On the sidelines of Minister Kharabsheh’s participation in the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022 (COP27) held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Environment, Dr. Muawiya Al-Radaydah, and the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Najjar.
