His Majesty King Abdullah II will meet with US President Joe Biden, at the White House on Monday, as part of His Majesty’s visit to the United States of America.
His Majesty and President Biden are holding discussions on the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the White House announced Thursday.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement that they “will discuss the current situation in Gaza and the efforts made to reach a permanent solution to the crisis.”
Karen Jean-Pierre added that they will also discuss "American efforts to support the Palestinian people, including enhancing humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the idea of a permanent peace that includes a two-state solution that guarantees Israel's security."
His Majesty King Abdullah II left the homeland on Thursday on a tour that includes the United States, Canada, France and Germany.
The royal tour aims to mobilize international support for a ceasefire in Gaza, protect civilians, provide humanitarian aid to the Strip on a permanent and sufficient basis, and emphasize the importance of finding a political horizon that leads to a comprehensive settlement that ends the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
In Washington, His Majesty will meet with US President Joe Biden, the staff of the US administration, and a number of members of the Senate and House of Representatives in Congress, while in the capital, Ottawa, he will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
In Paris, His Majesty the King will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, while during his visit to Germany, His Majesty will participate in the sixtieth session of the Munich Security Conference, during which he will meet a number of senior Western and European officials.
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Deputy to His Majesty the King in the presence of the ministry staff.
