Today, in the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran, the funeral procession for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi began. President Raisi was killed on Sunday in a helicopter crash in a rugged mountainous area.

The official television broadcast showed thousands of people gathering in the center of East Azerbaijan province, holding pictures of the president and the other seven victims of the accident.
