In a remarkable move, the Arab Bank has exclusively supported the design and launch of an innovative program titled “Smart Piggy Banks” by Haya Cultural Center. This program aims to promote financial awareness among students through creative techniques and introduce them to the latest technological concepts of our time. Approximately 300 students from 20 government schools and associations across various provinces in the Kingdom will benefit from this initiative.
The “Smart Piggy Banks” Program
The program, spanning 20 weeks, seamlessly integrates art and technology by challenging a new group of children each week to design their own intelligent money-saving piggy banks. Participants will utilize skills acquired during the program, such as creative mechanics, Arduino programming, and various artistic abilities. These smart piggy banks are equipped with the ability to calculate and display the amount of money inside, along with a four-digit secret code. Additionally, the program emphasizes the fundamentals of saving and proper money management from an early age.
Social Responsibility and Financial Literacy
The Arab Bank’s support for the “Smart Piggy Banks” program aligns with its commitment to social responsibility. By fostering financial literacy among diverse segments of the local community, the bank recognizes the importance of equipping children with essential financial knowledge. Understanding financial principles from an early age empowers them to make informed decisions.
