This phenomenon occurs at the time of the noon call to prayer at the Grand Mosque, i.e., at 12:34 PM Amman time.

This phenomenon provides an exceptional opportunity to adjust the direction of the Qibla with utmost precision, reaching 100%. By observing the phenomenon, anyone in Jordan or anywhere in the Arab world can determine the direction of the Qibla with complete accuracy. Place a straight wooden or metal piece vertically on the ground in a location directly exposed to sunlight, where the opposite direction of the piece’s shadow accurately indicates the direction of the Qibla.
