On the 248th day of its war on Gaza, the occupying forces intensified their bombardment of areas within the sector, resulting in martyrs and wounded. This follows the massacres committed in the Nuseirat camp, which resulted in the martyrdom of 274 Palestinians and the injury of 698 others.

The United States has called on the Security Council to vote on a revised resolution regarding the proposed ceasefire in Gaza.

The U.S. mission to the United Nations stated that the proposal would lead to a complete and immediate ceasefire with the release of prisoners, noting that Israel “accepted” the proposal and that the Security Council has the opportunity to speak “with one voice” and call on Hamas to accept it.

In Israeli politics, Benny Gantz, a member of the War Council, and members of his “State Camp” party announced their resignation from the emergency government. Gantz called for elections as soon as possible, saying that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preventing them “from moving towards achieving a true victory.”
