His Majesty King Abdullah II stated that the future of the youth and children suffering from the deep psychological trauma caused by conflicts over the past decade and the current war on Gaza will determine the future of stability and security in our region and in Europe.

In his speech during a communicative session held within the G7 summit in Italy, he added, “The oldest ongoing threat facing our region is the continued occupation of Palestinian territories. I have repeatedly warned over the past twenty-five years of the dangers and consequences of ignoring the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

His Majesty pointed out that the international community has failed to achieve the only solution that guarantees the security of Palestinians, Israelis, the region, and the world, which is a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution.

He continued: “Nowhere is this more evident than in the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, which has reached unprecedented dimensions. Once the true scale of this humanitarian disaster is revealed, the world will feel ashamed for its failure to stop this tragedy. This war must end; its continuation only increases crimes committed against innocent victims. A permanent ceasefire must be imposed.”
