The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has officially expressed its deep appreciation for the tenure of Moroccan coach Hussein Amotta and his coaching staff. Under Amotta's leadership, the national team achieved a historic second place in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup and advanced to the final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, securing the top spot in their group.

Due to personal circumstances preventing Amotta's continuation, the JFA Board has agreed to his request to terminate his contract amicably. The achievements under his guidance will always be valued by the Jordanian football community and fans.

The JFA announced the appointment of Moroccan Jamal Sellami as the new head coach, who will join in the coming days.
