On June 24, 2024, at 10:43 PM, Jordanian Hotels Association and Etihad Airways held a meeting to discuss enhancing their cooperation. The meeting was attended by Abdul Hakim Hindi, head of the Tourism and Heritage Committee in the Senate and Chairman of the Jordanian Hotels Association, alongside members of the association’s board. Also present were Khalid Al Ali, head of Consular Services and Citizen Affairs at the UAE Embassy in Jordan, Ahmed Deeb, General Manager of Etihad Airways for the Levant and Africa, and Khalil Hamed, Account Manager for Etihad Airways in Jordan.
During the meeting, the association's work and objectives, which include developing the hotel sector in Jordan and enhancing quality and service standards, were explained. They explored ways to collaborate to boost tourism in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Abdul Hakim Hindi emphasized Jordan's strategic importance, particularly in tourism, and the significance of collaborating with airlines to enhance tourism flow. He highlighted that such meetings support the hotel and tourism sector and positively impact workers in this vital industry.
Khalid Al Ali expressed gratitude to the Jordanian Hotels Association for the constructive meeting, underscoring the importance of cooperation to achieve shared goals.
Ahmed Deeb provided a comprehensive overview of Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, and stressed the need for future meetings to continue discussions and cooperation, contributing to the development of Jordan's tourism sector and strengthening strategic partnerships.
At the end of the meeting, Abdul Hakim Hindi presented commemorative shields from the Senate and the Jordanian Hotels Association to Khalid Al Ali, Ahmed Deeb, and Khalil Hamed. Etihad Airways also presented commemorative shields in appreciation of the association's efforts to enhance cooperation and support the tourism sector.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice President of the Jordanian Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, and the board's Secretary, Engineer Mai Samour.
