Sol Band to Perform at Jerash 2024, Dedicates Song to Gaza

The band presented a remarkable song amidst the war on Gaza titled "My Children Are Birds of Paradise," the first of a series of songs completed entirely in Gaza during the war. The music is melancholic and profoundly human, evoking hope and sorrow from the ruins of wounded Gaza. The band condemns death, destruction, and the loss of children with voices filled with pain and a sense of cosmic injustice, while simultaneously holding faith in paradise for the martyrs.

Sol Band captures the extraordinary emotions and the family home of the Palestinian dream, grief, and joy of life, maintaining resilience even during the critical human conditions of Ramadan and the holidays. The band has excelled in creating life amid the wound, emerging in the dark and painful moments, continuing to celebrate the Palestinian wound and the call of catastrophes through words, melodies, and tender voices that penetrate our senses with all these pains.

Known as "the Solists," they convey these genuine feelings to festivals named after Palestine and its heritage, embodying the presence of Palestinian pain and suffering around the world, having started their journey from the rubble of sorrow. Their voices and tunes carry the sorrows even when Ramadan's crescent appears before the city of fear and the absence of loved ones knocking on the door, raising the band's humanitarian question: "Will Gaza's crescent appear?"

The band members are committed to conveying the purpose they were born for, facing challenges. From the heart of Gaza, Sol Band carries hopes emerging from the ashes to rebuild dreams through the magic of music towards a symphony of hope and solidarity with the people of the sector.

At the 38th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, we have a date on Wednesday, 31/7/2024, at the main square of the ancient city of Jerash to listen and enjoy songs for Palestine and Gaza, filled with feelings, resistance to wounds, pain, and catastrophes.

Sol Band relies on global human impact, a captivating mix of folk and pop music, with 30 songs of Palestinian and Arabic music, known for their presence on social media and YouTube, showcasing their artistic prowess and influence on followers. The band performed at Jerash 2023, and previously in Amman, France, and Belgium.

The band states that it is not just a voice but a cultural bridge celebrating Palestinian heritage, enhancing global connections. Their artistic journey is a powerful testament to the enduring power of music and beautiful chanting that evokes all this sorrow and celebration of life.
