Ayman Samawi, the Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, announced that the festival's administration will provide an opportunity for the "Scent of Color" initiative, which focuses on the visually impaired and helps them learn and develop their painting skills, to participate in the 38th edition of the festival. The initiative's creative outputs will be featured alongside other cultural activities for the third consecutive year.
The founder and implementer of the "Scent of Color" initiative, artist Suhail Baqaeen, confirmed the attendance of the initiative's participants at the opening ceremony, which will be held at the Royal Cultural Center from Thursday, July 27 to Saturday, July 29.
Artist Baqaeen highlighted that this kind gesture from the Jerash administration underscores the festival's commitment to its national agenda, which aims to make it a national festival that caters to all segments of society. He noted that the "Scent of Color" project is a pioneering Jordanian initiative globally, having introduced many creative names from among the visually impaired.
Baqaeen also emphasized that participating in the Jerash Festival for the third time has encouraged the participants and their families, leaving a significant impact on the team members, who are visually impaired.
