The Jordanian Writers and Authors Union inaugurated its cultural program as part of the 38th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts with a seminar celebrating "25 Years of Culture During the Reign of King Abdullah II." The seminar featured researchers Dr. Ali Al-Hajjahjah, Dr. Mohammad Abu Hazeem, Dr. Wissam Mubaidin, and Sami Dweikat, and was moderated by writer Sawsan Al-Muhtadi. It took place at the National Library at 4:30 PM.
In his opening speech, Union President Aleyan Al-Adwan stated that the Union contributes to the festival's activities with a diverse program featuring 89 participants, including 79 Union members and 8 local and Arab writers from outside the Union. Al-Adwan emphasized the variety of the participation, covering poetry, storytelling, and intellectual seminars. He also highlighted the focus of this year's festival, themed "The Promise Continues," on solidarity with Gaza. He expressed gratitude to the Minister of Culture for enhancing the festival's cultural program and to the festival director Ayman Samawi for his efforts.

Dr. Ali Al-Hajjahjah discussed the comprehensive cultural and intellectual progress under King Abdullah II, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to rise to challenges. Dr. Mohammad Abu Hazeem highlighted legislative developments aimed at enhancing the cultural landscape, including laws on cultural sponsorship, access to information, intellectual property, and national documents. Dr. Wissam Mubaidin emphasized the role of technology in cultural development, advocating for digital transformation and innovation from early education through university.
Dr. Sami Dweikat concluded the seminar by noting the significant achievements of Jordanian creators under King Abdullah II, who have won international and Arab awards in literature and thought. The seminar was attended by prominent intellectuals and concluded with Aleyan Al-Adwan presenting certificates of appreciation to the participants.
