Amman - Middle East University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship aimed at equipping young people with advanced digital skills and providing them with the opportunities they deserve in the telecommunications and information technology sector.
The agreement was signed at the ministry's headquarters by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Professor Ahmad Hanandeh, and the university's president, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, in the presence of her deputy, Professor Ahmad Al-Louzi, and other specialists.
The agreement aims to formulate training programs in collaboration with the Digital Skills Association, designed to develop a skilled and adaptable workforce in the telecommunications and IT sector, thereby enhancing their employability in this dynamic and growing field.
In this regard, Minister Hanandeh stated that this agreement will equip young men and women with advanced technical skills and necessary digital knowledge through a set of globally accredited professional programs, making them ready to face future challenges and drive technological advancement. He noted that a package of training programs will be launched, integrating with the curricula of Jordanian universities.
For her part, University President Dr. Al-Mahadin, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Dr. Adi Al-Maayta, Director of Media and Public Relations Mr. Kamal Freij, and Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Mr. Samer Abdul Daim, said that the university believes in the right to integrate its students into project-based learning paths. Practical exposure provides them with a clearer understanding of the requirements of the digital age, which the university focuses on through its partnerships with national institutions and various sectors, as well as its meetings with employers and specialists. She emphasized the importance of proceeding with issuing qualitative research and studies that examine the needs and requirements of the labor market.
