A year ago, Orange Jordan launched 5G services in the Kingdom, aligning with the rapidly evolving global scene thanks to this revolutionary technology. Today, Jordan is making significant strides in the technology world with unprecedented developments across various sectors since the launch of this service. Like other modern technologies, 5G innovations and applications are expected to continue advancing, reshaping the landscape, as discussed by several experts at the dialogue session held by Orange at the Innovation Forum on Wednesday, August 7.

The session included Shadi Al-Bass, Director of the Innovation Forum and Digital Manufacturing Lab at Orange Jordan; Lujain Annab, Technical Engineer at Orange’s Digital Manufacturing and Innovation Labs; and Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim, Founder and General Manager of My Communications Academy, specializing in training telecommunications engineers. The audience comprised technology specialists, representatives from companies utilizing 5G technology, representatives from the Crown Prince Foundation, and several technology companies.

Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim and Shadi Al-Bass discussed the role of 5G in enhancing innovation to unprecedented levels, positively impacting all sectors. Lujain Annab highlighted Orange's experience in educating trainees and young people about the role of 5G in the agricultural sector through a training camp on agricultural technology using 5G, attracting engineers, trainees, and other technology and agricultural enthusiasts.

This session, forming a basis for staying aligned with the global technological wave, is part of Orange Jordan's efforts to spread awareness about innovation concepts and contribute to the desired transformations in various sectors thanks to this technology and its dissemination among the public and target groups.

The session included presentations and interactive discussions on the latest 5G technology updates across various sectors and the role of Orange Jordan's Innovation Forum as an introductory platform for these global transformations and a meeting place for experts and speakers in these fields.

Notably, the Innovation Forum recently hosted a session on successful women in engineering to encourage more young women to join the sector as part of Orange Jordan's Women in Engineering program.
