Tunisian President Dismisses Prime Minister Hachani, Appoints Madouri as Successor
Amman - Tunisian President Kais Saied dismissed Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani on Wednesday and appointed Minister of Social Affairs Kamel Madouri as his successor.
According to a statement from the Presidency, President Saied received Kamel Madouri, Minister of Social Affairs, at the Carthage Palace on Wednesday afternoon and decided to appoint him as Prime Minister in place of Ahmed Hachani.
Madouri, who previously served as the head of the "National Social Security Fund" (a government institution), was appointed as the Minister of Social Affairs last May. Born on January 25, 1974, in Teboursouk, northern Tunisia, Madouri holds a PhD in European Community Law and Maghreb-European Relations, as well as a Master's degree in Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Legal, Political, and Social Sciences in Tunis.
It is worth noting that Hachani was appointed Prime Minister in August 2023, following the dismissal of the former Prime Minister Najla Bouden.
