Aligned with its ongoing commitment to supporting people with special needs and recognizing their achievements, Al-Wafaa Club for the Disabled held an honorary ceremony under the patronage of former MP Mohammad Yahya Al-Muharmeh. The event celebrated the accomplishments of athletes who have raised the nation's flag high in international arenas.
In his speech, Al-Muharmeh emphasized the importance of continuous support for these athletes, highlighting the need to address challenges and keep up with relevant legislation. He called for collective efforts inspired by the leadership of King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Hussein.
Al-Muharmeh also extended his gratitude to the club's supporters, particularly praising club chairman Mohammad Al-Maayta, the board members, and the General Assembly. He expressed pride in the athletes, coaches, and especially commended the head of the sports committee, Rima Kamal, as well as activist Lana Al-Shami for her excellent management of the event.
Club Chairman Mohammad Al-Maayta expressed deep appreciation for Al-Muharmeh’s support, while champion Omar Qarada, speaking on behalf of the athletes, thanked all those who contributed to their success.
Social activist Lana Al-Shami also delivered a touching speech, acknowledging the role of the board, supporters, and Al-Muharmeh's ongoing commitment to sports and the community, citing his past successes with Al-Jazeera Club.
