Orange Jordan has sponsored the launch of the Master's program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management (EIM) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) under the patronage of the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh. The special event was held at the university and attended by its President, Professor Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, to announce the program, which targets engineering graduates, enabling them to pursue diverse career paths that align with their future ambitions.
The joint program between the German Jordanian University and Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences (h2) aims to equip engineers with the ability to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship in an academic and systematic manner, leading to two tracks: one focused on enhancing engineers' skills in research and development, and the other on launching startups and embarking on entrepreneurial journeys.
The program offers students practical opportunities to connect technical fields with management processes, enhancing sustainability and profitability in projects and ideas. It is designed for both recent graduates and experienced engineers.
The program aligns with Orange Jordan's goals and values, which emphasize creativity, innovation, and empowering youth. The company noted that the program provides a significant opportunity for students by enabling them to go through the processes involved in establishing startups, from ideation to product design, prototyping, and launching the company. This adds a valuable academic dimension that advances effective programs and initiatives in this field, contributing creatively and innovatively to meeting societal, entrepreneurial, and economic needs.
The university highlighted that the program aims to empower young people to identify entrepreneurial opportunities supported by innovation systematically, leading to the establishment of startups capable of making a sustainable impact, particularly by bridging the gap between industrial engineering applications and management and commercial processes, thus connecting theory with practice.
The program is specifically aimed at innovation managers, Chief Innovation Officers (CINOs), and other executive leaders driving innovation efforts in their organizations, providing them with essential tools and governance frameworks to and manage effective departments, thereby advancing strategic innovation across institutions.
It is worth noting that the program will allow students to generate valuable ideas through design thinking, design business models, and validate them in line with market trends and societal needs. Additionally, it will develop impactful startup projects and initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offering solutions that resonate significantly with current needs.
