Arab Bank has renewed its support for the Women's and Youth Economic Empowerment Project in collaboration with Dar Abu Abdullah for the second consecutive year. This initiative stems from the bank's belief in the importance of supporting families in need and the pivotal role of women and youth in improving their families’ livelihoods, securing appropriate income, and achieving a dignified life, contributing to sustainable development.

Through this support, Arab Bank will empower 14 women and 7 young people who are beneficiaries of Dar Abu Abdullah by supporting 21 greenhouses and funding an agricultural cycle at the Dar farm located in the Raba area of Karak Governorate, which operates using hydroponic farming under the management of the Business Development Unit at Dar Abu Abdullah. The bank’s support will cover the necessary costs for purchasing seeds and seedlings, enabling the beneficiaries to generate financial profits and recover their invested capital, which will be reinvested in future agricultural cycles. This directly contributes to providing them with a steady income source and improving their living standards.

It’s worth noting that Dar Abu Abdullah is a non-governmental, non-profit organization aiming to empower individuals and enhance their capacities, ensuring the sustainability of their livelihoods through projects that address the root causes of food insecurity in Jordan. This is achieved by enrolling them in economic empowerment programs through two paths: job placement (employment) and self-employment (funding small, micro, and home-based projects). Dar Abu Abdullah was founded by Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, who serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees, and was named in memory of His Late Majesty King Hussein Bin Talal, may his soul rest in peace, who firmly believed that "man is our most valuable asset."

Additionally, Arab Bank follows a comprehensive and integrated sustainability and corporate social responsibility strategy, reflecting the bank's commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact through close collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve sustainable development. Arab Bank’s “Together” program, one of the pillars of this strategy, is a multi-faceted initiative aimed at developing and improving various aspects of society through diverse initiatives and activities serving sectors such as health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, support for orphans, and women’s empowerment.
