Yesterday evening, on 30th September 2024, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman Al Ahliya University, presided over the university’s graduation ceremony for the Summer 2023-2024 semester at the Arena Theatre. The event marked the graduation of students from the Silver Jubilee class and was attended by Mr. Omar Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, alongside members of the Board of Trustees, faculty deans, administrative and teaching staff, and a large gathering of graduates' families and guests.

The ceremony began with the national anthem followed by a recitation from the Quran by Adam Al-Hadidi, a student from the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Dr. Mustafa Atiyat, Dean of Student Affairs, delivered the university's opening remarks, welcoming the distinguished attendees and congratulating the graduates, acknowledging Amman Al Ahliya University’s 35 years of educational excellence. He highlighted the institution's achievements and commitment to academic distinction, mentioning its status as Jordan’s first private university, founded by the late Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani.

He further celebrated the graduates as part of the Silver Jubilee of King Abdullah II’s reign, expressing pride in the university’s contribution to Jordan’s continued progress despite challenges. Dr. Atiyat also praised the vision and leadership of both Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board, and Dr. Sari Hamdan, whose efforts have elevated the university’s reputation locally and internationally.

Dr. Atiyat proudly announced that Amman Al Ahliya ranked between 801 and 850 globally in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and retained its position as the third top-ranked university in Jordan. He also outlined the university’s recent academic advancements, including the launch of several new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, such as the Master’s in Business Technology and Bachelor’s in Electric Vehicle Engineering.

The event also honoured the university’s outstanding students, particularly Zaid Mustafa, a taekwondo silver medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics, who was awarded a full scholarship for a Master’s in Sports Science.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduates by Dr. Sari Hamdan, alongside awards for the top achievers.
