Arab Bank recently provided its golden sponsorship for the 14th edition of the Amman International Marathon, organized by the Jordanian Marathon Association "Run Jordan" in October 2024. The aim was to encourage all segments of society to engage in various sporting activities, particularly running.

The Amman International Marathon witnessed fierce competition, with over 5,000 professional and amateur runners from different age groups participating, creating an atmosphere filled with positive rivalry, enthusiasm, and energy. A special race day was also dedicated to children to promote physical activity and emphasize its importance from a young age.

Miss Lina Al-Kurd, General Manager of the Jordanian Charity Marathon Association, expressed her gratitude for the long-standing cooperation between the bank and the association over the years and for the bank’s confidence in their efforts. She added, “We are proud of our collaboration with Arab Bank and their annual support for the Amman Marathon since 2009, stemming from their belief in the importance of supporting a healthy lifestyle, reflecting their ongoing commitment to backing sports and social initiatives."

The Amman Marathon serves as an active platform to raise awareness within the community about the importance of sports and adopting a healthy lifestyle, in addition to the touristic and cultural role this annual event plays in the heart of the capital, Amman.
