The Ambassador of Bahrain to Jordan, Sheikh Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, hosted Senator Abdel Hakim Mahmoud Al-Hindi, Chairman of the Jordanian Senate's Tourism and Heritage Committee and President of the Jordan Hotels Association, at the Bahraini Embassy this morning. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Jordan and Bahrain in the tourism sector to the mutual benefit of both nations.
Senator Al-Hindi highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Jordan and Bahrain, noting that the historical relationship reflects the shared vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He stated that the partnership serves as a model of Arab cooperation, with ongoing efforts by both leaderships to strengthen collaboration, particularly in tourism, which acts as a bridge to solidify ties between the two peoples.
Al-Hindi emphasized King Abdullah II’s vision for supporting tourism as a key driver of Jordan’s economic growth and expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries in tourism would continue to advance. He pointed out Jordan’s commitment to enhancing tourism in collaboration with regional nations, highlighting the importance of exchanging expertise and fostering joint investments in this vital sector, in line with the vision of both kings to boost economic development and societal well-being.
Ambassador Sheikh Khalifa praised Jordan's efforts in promoting tourism and commended King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision to advance Bahrain’s tourism sector. He expressed eagerness to further strengthen joint efforts to serve the shared interests of both countries.
The two sides discussed opportunities to expand tourism promotion through joint programs and exchanges between tourism institutions and hotels, with the aim of attracting more tourists and enhancing investments in the tourism sector in both nations.
At the end of the meeting, the Bahraini Ambassador presented a commemorative shield to Senator Al-Hindi in recognition of his significant contributions to tourism development and fostering tourism ties between Jordan and Bahrain.
