Zarqa Pharmacy Students Join "Smoke-Free Generation" Initiative

In line with royal directives to combat smoking among school students, students from Zarqa University’s Faculty of Pharmacy participated in the "Smoke-Free Generation" initiative on Thursday, 10th October 2024, in collaboration with the Pharmacists Syndicate.

The initiative, launched by the Jordan Pharmacists Syndicate in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the King Hussein Cancer Center, and the Jordanian Pharmacy Students Association, aims to a generation that is aware of the dangers of smoking and equipped to make healthy decisions for their future.

The students visited public schools in the northern region, delivering awareness lectures on the dangers and harms of smoking in coordination with the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Ahlam Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, emphasized that this participation aligns with Zarqa University’s active role in serving the community and providing a flexible environment for students through initiatives that positively impact public health.

Al-Kilani expressed her pride in the students’ active involvement in the "Smoke-Free Generation" initiative.
