With the support of Arab Bank, the "Al Jude for Scientific Care" foundation recently concluded the activities of the "Sanbula" initiative in public schools, during a ceremony honoring the winning schools in the initiative for the 2023/2024 academic year. The initiative, presented by the foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, aimed to develop the educational environment, enhance teachers' capabilities, unleash their intellectual potential, and promote a culture of social entrepreneurship in collaboration with the local community.
This year, approximately 12,000 teachers from 1,500 public schools, representing all educational levels, participated in the initiative, receiving training in the "Sanbula" methodology and life skills. The number of benefiting students reached 350,000. A specialized committee evaluated the projects, selecting 105 winning projects from various directorates across the kingdom.
Commenting on the importance of community initiatives in public schools, Maher Qaddoura, Director of the "Al Jude" foundation, stated that the "Sanbula" initiative seeks to motivate educational staff to overcome challenges through collaborative efforts, reflecting their excellence on their school environment through mutual learning between teachers and students. Qaddoura expressed his pride in partnering with Arab Bank as the main sponsor of the initiative, appreciating its active role in contributing to the foundation's goals.
It is worth mentioning that Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy for sustainability and social responsibility, reflecting the bank's commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact through close cooperation with various stakeholders to achieve sustainable development. The Arab Bank’s social responsibility program, "Together," represents a key outcome of this approach. It is a multi-faceted program that focuses on developing and nurturing various aspects of society through diverse initiatives and activities that contribute to several sectors, including health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan support, and women's empowerment.
