Zain Jordan stated that its sponsorship of this important annual event aligns with its commitment to supporting the tourism and aviation sectors and enhancing Jordan’s distinguished regional and global status as a destination rich in religious, historical, and cultural landmarks. The sponsorship also emphasizes the Kingdom’s strategic geographical position, which contributes to sustainable and comprehensive development.
This sponsorship is part of Zain’s dedication to providing cutting-edge services, technologies, and digital solutions for various public and private sectors, particularly the Jordanian aviation sector. By harnessing technology, Zain aims to accelerate the country’s digital transformation and elevate the quality of services offered.
The 57th AACO General Assembly is being held from October 29 to 31, 2024, with over 200 attendees, including CEOs of member airlines, partner airlines, and industry stakeholders from aircraft and engine manufacturers to IT companies.
During the opening ceremony, Eng. Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian Airlines, expressed pride in hosting this significant event, saying, “Hosting the AACO General Assembly here in Jordan, on the shores of the Dead Sea, holds great symbolism; this unique location, the lowest inhabited point on earth, symbolizes Jordan’s resilience and ability to reach new heights of success. The continued support of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordanian government has positioned Royal Jordanian as a central player in the aviation industry and underscores Jordan’s significance as a bridge between East and West.”
Majali extended his thanks to Minister of Transport, Eng. Wissam Tehtamoni, for representing His Majesty at the event, noting that her presence reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the aviation sector. He also thanked Minister of Tourism Lina Annab and Minister of Economic Affairs Mohannad Shehadeh for their attendance, underscoring Jordan’s commitment to strengthening its tourism and economic sectors.
