The delegation from Jordan’s Duty-Free Company, led by Chairman Ayman Al-Mufleh and CEO and board member Haitham Al-Majali, along with board member Mukhaymer Abu Jamous, and in the presence of the Jordanian Ambassador to Tunisia, Abdullah Abu Roman, continued extensive meetings with representatives of Tunisia’s public and private commercial sectors.
The delegation reached an agreement with the Tunisian Duty-Free Company on a range of trade exchange items, facilitating the entry of sought-after Jordanian products into the Tunisian market. These include Dead Sea salts, dates, traditional handicrafts, and various competitive Jordanian goods. In return, the agreements will allow the introduction of various Tunisian products into the Jordanian market.
Ayman Al-Mufleh emphasized the readiness of Jordan’s Duty-Free Company and the broader Jordanian commercial sector to enhance collaboration with Tunisian counterparts, strengthening the successful, brotherly relations between the two countries. Tunisian Duty-Free CEO Tariq Hamila expressed a strong commitment to advancing partnerships with Jordan, which would open broad opportunities for trade and cooperation. He praised Jordan’s experience in multiple economic sectors.
In Tunis, the delegation explored potential collaborations with Mourad Ben Hussein, Director-General of the Export Promotion Center, who highlighted Jordan's regional and international role in the economic sphere. He confirmed that the Tunisian Export House is fully prepared to introduce the delegation to Tunisian goods that could be welcomed in Jordan, commending Jordan’s steadfast policy of openness towards its Arab neighbors and dedication to enhancing Arab cooperation.
The Jordanian and Tunisian delegations also agreed to form a joint committee for follow-up and direct coordination to finalize the trade exchange and partnership agreements.
