Professor Dr. Mustafa Al-Atyat, Dean of Student Affairs at Amman Al-Ahliyya University, awarded the winners of the university’s chess tournament for male and female students. The tournament concluded on Tuesday evening, 29 October 2024, after being organized by the Department of Student Activities and Clubs in the Student Affairs Dean’s Office and held in the student clubs hall over two days, with 68 participants from various faculties.
In the men’s division, Saif Al-Deen Al-Shayyab from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences clinched the championship title after defeating Uday Al-Sharqawi from the Faculty of Information Technology in the final match with a score of 2-1. Adam Al-Sabbagh and Mohammed Suleiman, both from the Faculty of Information Technology, shared third place.
In the women’s division, Dina Khader from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences won the championship title by beating Huda Al-Jabali from the Faculty of Pharmacy in the final match with a score of 2-1. Rahma Jalal from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Dana Al-Madadha from the Faculty of Information Technology shared third place.
