The President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nazir Obeidat, met with the CEO of Arab Bank, Randa Sadik, to explore ways to expand collaboration in academic and technical fields, particularly in light of growing digital challenges. Obeidat praised the bank's contributions to supporting education and developing students' skills, highlighting the university's advancement in global rankings, reaching the 368th position in the 2025 "QS" ranking, which reflects its commitment to preparing graduates for the job market.
Sadik, in turn, emphasized the importance of the university keeping pace with modern developments, focusing on fields such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. She affirmed Arab Bank's commitment to providing internship opportunities for university students in these areas.
The two parties also inaugurated a cybersecurity lab, funded by the bank, at the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, aimed at enhancing students' skills in modern security technologies.
