Speaking to his supporters from his campaign headquarters in Florida, President Donald Trump addressed his supporters shortly after his U.S. presidential victory was announced, according to Fox News.
A spokesperson from Trump’s campaign stated Wednesday that Trump traveled to Palm Beach, Florida, to deliver a speech to his supporters, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign confirmed she would not be giving a speech on election night, according to one of her advisors.
The U.S. election witnessed intense competition between Democrat Harris and Republican Trump in the race to the White House, as preliminary results continued to be released gradually.
Earlier, Trump stated to a local radio station in Pennsylvania that winning this crucial state would mean victory in the overall election. “If we win Pennsylvania, we win it all,” Trump said on the "Rich Zeoli" on Talk Radio 1210 in Philadelphia.
He added, "We will make this country greater than ever before, but you need to stay in line."
He continued: "Don't let them slow you down. You have the absolute legal right to vote because if we win Pennsylvania, if we win the good old Commonwealth, we win it all."
Both Trump and his Democratic rival Kamala Harris regard Pennsylvania as a must-win state in their quest to reach the 270 Electoral College votes needed to secure the presidency.
Polling stations in Pennsylvania closed at 8 p.m. local time (0100 GMT), though voters already in line at that time were permitted to cast their ballots.
