London - The Jordan Tourism Board participated in the World Travel Market (WTM) exhibition in London, represented by Director General Dr. Abdel Razzaq Arabiyat, Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority Chairman Dr. Fares Breizat, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and the CEO of the Jordan Heritage Revival Company, Moayad Abu Rumman, along with 23 Jordanian tour operators and hotels. Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK, Manar Dabbas, was also in attendance.
On the first day of the event, a press conference was held with Dr. Arabiyat, Dr. Breizat, and Abu Rumman to launch Jordan’s latest promotional video. Dr. Arabiyat announced that Jordan received a prestigious award from media giant Lonely Planet, with the "Jordan Trail" being listed among the world's top tourism experiences for 2025.
Dr. Arabiyat also met with Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, to discuss enhancing tourism collaboration between the two countries and fostering intra-regional tourism, emphasizing the strong ties between the two kingdoms.
Dr. Arabiyat highlighted Jordan’s plans to host three major global tourism events in 2025: the inaugural “G Adventures GX Summit” focused on sustainable tourism, the “Resilience through Investment and Innovation Summit” on advancing the tourism sector through investment, and the “Annual Destination Wedding Planners Congress” set to be held in Aqaba in October 2025.
Jordan’s Ambassador Dabbas noted that the WTM participation demonstrates Jordan’s commitment to boosting its presence in international markets and showcasing its unique tourism diversity. He added that this partnership with London serves as a strategic step to strengthen tourism and investment links and opens new avenues for economic cooperation.
The exhibition runs from 5 to 7 November and features a broad array of local, regional, and international participants. Jordan’s pavilion saw strong interest on the first day from representatives of foreign tourism companies. WTM is one of the world’s premier tourism events, making it an ideal opportunity to attract more global visitors to Jordan.
