Funded by the Arab Potash Company and supervised by the Ministry of Education, the "Youth Now" program, implemented by Jusoor, launched in Amman at the Engineers Training Center. The opening phase featured two consecutive workshops that brought students from King Abdullah II School for Excellence in Tafila and Asma Bint Abi Bakr School in Wadi Musa to the capital.
Students from King Abdullah II School presented captivating plans for displays spotlighting the cultural sites Petra as a main feature, Shobak Castle as a secondary site, and Egypt's Valley of the Kings as an international highlight. Meanwhile, the students from Asma Bint Abi Bakr School shared drafts focusing on Salt as a primary site, Iraq Al-Amir as a secondary, and Lebanon’s city of Tyre as an Arab feature.
The excitement and competitive spirit were evident from the start, with the students guided by Dr. Yasmine Makroun, an international expert in cultural heritage preservation, who provided insights on the significance of global heritage from both historical and economic perspectives.
After a lunch break, students enjoyed an educational field trip to Amman Citadel, joined by Dr. Makroun and the Jusoor team. The students described the day as one of the “best” experiences, expressing eagerness to prepare for the next phase, which will involve further field visits to selected heritage sites across Jordan.
