The Chief of the Royal Court, Yousef Hassan Al-Aysawi, Chairman of the Committee to Follow up on the Implementation of Royal Initiatives, inaugurated today a park in Duqara, Irbid, established under directives from King Abdullah II during his visits to meet local community leaders in the governorate.
Al-Aysawi also inspected ongoing Royal Initiative projects in Irbid, including the eco-lodge project in Yarmouk Nature Reserve and a multipurpose hall project for rural product exhibitions, managed by the Irbid Development Foundation.
During the opening of Duqara Park, attended by Irbid Governor Radwan Al-Atoum and representatives from Zaha Cultural Centers and local municipalities, Al-Aysawi toured the park facilities, which include green spaces, children’s play areas, recreational facilities, and shaded seating, aiming to provide a welcoming space for families.
In Umm Qais, he reviewed the eco-lodge project in Yarmouk Nature Reserve, set to feature 20 chalets, a 10-room guesthouse, a restaurant, and scenic trails. Managed by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, the project, now 65% complete, is expected to boost local tourism and job opportunities for the community.
In Irbid’s Qasabah area, Al-Aysawi, joined by municipal leaders and officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, reviewed the multipurpose exhibition hall, which will provide a dedicated venue for showcasing rural and home-based products, as well as hosting cultural events.
Al-Aysawi concluded his visit at the King Abdullah II Gardens, a public recreational space established in 2015 on royal directives, spanning 178 dunams to serve as a cultural and sports outlet for residents of the northern region.
Al-Aysawi emphasized that Royal Initiatives aim to enhance citizens' quality of life by equitably distributing the benefits of development projects across all regions of the Kingdom, in alignment with the King’s vision for social and economic progress.
