Eight Lebanese citizens were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential building in Aramoun, Aley District, in Mount Lebanon Governorate, south of Beirut, according to the National News Agency.

The strike caused severe damage to multiple floors of the building, igniting fires and sparking widespread panic over potential further Israeli attacks. Rescue efforts are ongoing to locate those missing under the rubble.

In the southern suburbs, Israeli warplanes launched a series of early morning strikes on areas including Haret Hreik, Bir al-Abed, Al-Laylaki, and Ghobeiry. The Dar Al-Hawraa Medical Centre in Haret Hreik was also hit in several airstrikes.
