Jordan announced that the OPEC + decision to reduce oil production is a technical issue and must be approached in its economic context away from political strife, and called for dialogue between Washington and Riyadh on it.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: Oman is following with interest the reactions to the organization's decision and the interactions it produced.
The spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sinan Al-Majali, added: "This is a technical issue related to the stability of oil markets and its requirements, regulating the supply and demand process and protecting the interests of producers and consumers, and it must be approached on technical grounds, and in its economic context, away from political tensions that do not serve common goals and interests."
On Tuesday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia over the statements issued in the wake of the decision taken by the “OPEC +” organization.
The ministry confirmed that "the decision taken by "OPEC +" was based on economic studies, in which the balance of supply and demand in the global oil markets was taken into account, in a way that preserves these markets from fluctuations and serves the interests of producers and consumers alike."
She noted that "this decision came with the unanimity of all the member states of "OPEC +" and in accordance with the prevailing norms in international organizations."
