Israeli security forces announced on Sunday the arrest of three suspects involved in firing flares at the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea, central Israel. Netanyahu and his family were not at home during the incident.

The Israeli police and internal intelligence agency Shin Bet described the event, which occurred on Saturday evening, as a "serious incident." According to their statement, two flares landed in the courtyard of the prime minister’s residence. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities labelling the incident a significant escalation.

Footage of the attack quickly spread across social media, drawing widespread reactions. Opposition leader Yair Lapid and Israeli President Isaac Herzog expressed their condemnation of the act. Defence Minister Yisrael Katz called the attack "a red line that cannot be crossed."

This incident follows a previous attack last month when a drone from Lebanon directly targeted Netanyahu’s Caesarea residence. At the time, Netanyahu and his wife were not present. Hezbollah later claimed responsibility for the drone attack, marking it as part of its resistance operations.

The arrests come amidst heightened political tensions and security concerns in Israel. Further details on the suspects and their motives remain under investigation.
