The Israeli Security Cabinet approved a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah in its ongoing conflict with Lebanon, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a televised address, Netanyahu stated that the duration of the ceasefire "depends on developments in Lebanon," warning that the war would resume if Hezbollah violated the agreement or sought to rearm.

He added, "In full coordination with the United States, we retain complete military freedom of action in Lebanon."

Netanyahu noted that the truce would allow Israel to "focus on the Iranian threat" and hinted at intensified pressure on Hamas in the Gaza Strip in the coming period.
