Amman, 27 November 2024 – As part of its corporate social responsibility and dedication to supporting children and youth without familial support, Zain Jordan has announced the renewal of its commitment to Jordanian SOS Children's Villages for the 25th consecutive year. Over the years, the company has provided nearly one million Jordanian dinars in financial and in-kind contributions to support the organisation's mission of providing a nurturing environment that ensures a dignified life and a brighter future for children and young people.
Zain's support includes sponsoring five homes in SOS Villages located in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba, with an annual financial commitment of 75,000 JOD. The company also organises regular visits, social and recreational activities, and celebrates special occasions with the children, particularly during Ramadan by hosting iftar meals in all villages. Additionally, Zain focuses on offering quality services related to sports, health, and technology, while planning future projects aimed at creating a warm and stable environment for the children and youth in these villages.
Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Jordanian SOS Children's Villages, Zain recently visited the Aqaba SOS Village following the completion of the first phase of its renovation. During the visit, the company provided additional financial support to secure clothing and supplies for children, youth, and mothers for the winter season, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting those without familial care and recognising the organisation's four-decade journey of dedication and care.
Zain’s enduring partnership with SOS reflects its broader mission to empower children and youth by fostering an environment that integrates education, healthcare, and psychological support. The company aims to build a generation equipped to face future challenges, while creating opportunities that nurture creativity, innovation, and independence, enabling them to achieve stability and a brighter future.
