An Israeli was killed and three others injured in a shooting attack targeting an Israeli bus near the Tunnel Checkpoint south of occupied Jerusalem early Thursday morning.

The Israeli army stated that the attacker opened fire on the bus before fleeing the scene. Israeli forces are pursuing the perpetrator, setting up roadblocks and imposing a siege on the Bethlehem area in the southern occupied West Bank.

Sources reported that Israeli forces have implemented a strict security cordon around Bethlehem.

According to the Israeli emergency services, four injured individuals were evacuated from the scene, including a 12-year-old boy who sustained critical gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital in Jerusalem, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
