In line with its strategy to transform Jordan into a regional hub for gaming and eSports development, Zain Jordan’s Zain eSports JO organised 14 events and tournaments in 2024, featuring globally popular games. These events attracted 2.65 million views across its digital platforms. The centre also signed strategic agreements and sponsored major events to boost the sector’s contribution to the national economy while fostering Jordanian talent.
Zain eSports partnered with the Jordanian Esports Federation (JEF) to support all its activities and provide resources for Jordanian teams competing internationally. Notable events included the PUBG Mobile 2024 tournament with 256 players, the FC Mobile tournament, and the "Red Bull Solo Q" championship, where Prince Omar bin Faisal crowned the winner, Waleed Ismail, who earned a trip to the global finals in Paris.
The centre also co-hosted the "Toyota Gazoo Racing Digital Cup 2024," attended by 800 players and followed by 608,000 YouTube viewers. Additionally, Zain sponsored the Retro Games Fest, celebrating classic games like Mario and Pac-Man, alongside exhibitions of vintage gaming devices.
To enhance public awareness, Zain held a panel discussion at the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) with experts and enthusiasts, addressing industry growth, job creation, and responsible gaming practices.
In education, Zain’s eSports Management Academy graduated its first cohort, comprising 11 trainees, after a 30-hour course covering team management, marketing, and event planning.
Finally, the centre launched Arabic-localised servers for League of Legends in partnership with Riot Games, offering Jordanian players enhanced gameplay experiences.
