The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, hosted Prof. Mohammed bin Khuzaim Al-Shammari, Acting Cultural Attaché of Saudi Arabia in Jordan and Supervisor of Cultural Affairs in Lebanon, during an official visit aimed at strengthening academic and cultural cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Reem Al-Barhoumi, Director of Cultural and Media Affairs at the Saudi Cultural Attaché Office, alongside Qassem Al-Jazi and Ali Khaled Al-Mustaneer, a representative of Saudi students at the university. From the university, participants included Dr. Hadeel Al-Yaseen, Advisor to the President and Dean of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Iman Al-Nazli, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.
Discussions emphasized the importance of fostering academic partnerships, supporting students, and pursuing shared goals to enhance academic and professional aspirations. Specific proposals were made to develop leadership in healthcare and strengthen the integration of nursing and administration, aiming to improve healthcare quality.
Prof. Hamdan praised the strong ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting their distinguished cooperation in higher education. Dr. Al-Yaseen stressed the importance of introducing joint programs and collaborations to advance higher education in both countries. Dr. Al-Nazli lauded the partnership in nursing and commended the academic excellence and dedication of Saudi students.
During the visit, Prof. Al-Shammari toured the Faculty of Nursing, accompanied by the delegation. They visited the simulation laboratories at the Al-Ahliyya Health Training Center, where Prof. Khaldoun Hamdan provided a detailed explanation of the center’s advanced facilities, considered among the most sophisticated in the Middle East. The tour showcased the educational and training services offered to health students, alongside specialized courses designed to enhance their practical and academic skills.
Pharmacist Haneen Al-Momani introduced the university’s Women’s Health Center, managed by Dr. Mona Al-Nsour. She outlined the center’s goals and pioneering services in promoting women's health and community support, alongside future activities planned for Saudi students and the local community.
The visit demonstrated the university's commitment to providing integrated educational and training services aligned with global standards. Prof. Al-Shammari commended the university’s efforts in supporting Saudi students and expressed his gratitude for the programs and activities offered, reflecting the institution’s dedication to academic and professional excellence.
