A responsible source at the Ministry of Interior announced that, in coordination with all relevant entities and the Syrian side, a decision has been made to allow Jordanian and Syrian cross-border transport vehicles operating on the Amman-Damascus route to resume work starting today, Thursday.

The source added that operations will adhere to the previously established mechanism, which involves prior registration on the designated online platform.

The decision also permits Syrian vans, which used to enter Jordan before recent events, to enter Jordanian territory until April 1st, provided that all transport vehicles and vans comply with the rule of carrying passengers only and are strictly prohibited from transporting goods.

The source emphasized that the decision aims to boost transport activity between the two sides and enable the owners and drivers of cross-border transport vehicles to resume their work. (Petra)
