The Faculty of Dentistry at Amman Ahliyya University organised an awareness workshop for local women on diabetes and its effects on general health and oral health. The event, part of the faculty's regular community service initiatives, was held in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
Lectures were delivered by faculty members, including Prof. Tamer Abu Amara, Dr. Lashine Saad, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Khouli. Faculty and administrative staff, alongside a group of students, helped welcome participants and facilitate the workshop.
The workshop aimed to educate attendees about diabetes, its types, prevention methods, complications, and its impact on overall and oral health when left uncontrolled.
The event saw positive engagement, with constructive dialogue between the audience and lecturers on diabetes prevention and healthy practices. Additionally, blood sugar level testing was provided for the participants.
