The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Amman Ahliyya University participated in the "Diva" exhibition titled "From Umm Kulthum to Dalida" at Ras Al Ain Hangar in downtown Amman. Students from all academic departments joined the activity, supervised by faculty members Dr. Najwa Qandouqji, Engineer Lina Shwashreh, and administrative staff member Hossam Hazem. The event provided an educational and cultural opportunity, allowing students to explore the lives of pioneering women in music and cinema and the significant contributions of Arab women to art, culture, and society in this first-of-its-kind event in the Arab world.
Separately, the Interior Design Department hosted a workshop in collaboration with Arabesque Ceramic Art and the Handicrafts Association. Under the guidance of faculty member Dr. Mazen Arabasi, students learned about ceramic shaping and mosaic painting techniques, materials used, and production stages. They also had hands-on experience crafting ceramics and painting on pottery using various tools and techniques.
Additionally, the department organised a field visit for students of the "Project Management and Quantity Surveying" course to a construction site of an apartment under development in Rabieh, supervised by Dr. Mazen Arabasi. The visit aimed to equip students with practical skills in creating execution plans, cost estimation, wage calculations, and taking on-site measurements, aligning with the college’s mission to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical market applications.
