In line with Ahliyya Amman University's commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education, fostering innovation, and deepening regional collaboration, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Arwa Omar Al-Khateeb, participated in the 8th Regional Workshop for Faculty Development in Pharmacy Colleges. The event was held in Dubai on January 10–11, 2025.
Organised in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the workshop brought together leaders in pharmaceutical education from 24 pharmacy colleges across the region, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and all UAE-based pharmacy faculties.
The workshop provided an exceptional platform for exchanging ideas and fostering innovation. Key topics discussed included:
Best practices in experiential education and supervisor development.
Competency-based assessment, grading mechanisms, and skills evaluation.
Utilising artificial intelligence in pharmacy education and its integration by faculty members.
