Amman Ahliyya University participated in the Tree Day celebration held on Wednesday, 15 January 2025, in Balqa Governorate under the patronage of Governor Dr. Suleiman Al-Najada and attended by representatives from public and private sectors.
The university was represented by members from the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Dr. Subhieh Saifan, and faculty members from the faculties of Agricultural Technology, Dentistry, Business, Architecture and Design, and Hospitality and Tourism Management, along with 50 students from various faculties. This participation reflected a spirit of cooperation and teamwork between students and faculty members.
The event aimed to foster a sense of belonging and social responsibility among participants, who showed significant interest in issues of sustainable agriculture and environmental preservation.
The Faculty of Agricultural Technology played a prominent role in the event by actively promoting agricultural activities. It highlighted the importance of planting carob trees in the Al-Subaihi area along the Salt Road, reflecting the college’s commitment to its pioneering role in supporting sustainable agriculture, spreading environmental awareness, and enhancing biodiversity in the region.
Participants from the Amman Ahliyya University community expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the university, the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology in organizing the celebration. They commended the university's leading role in raising environmental awareness and serving the local community, wishing for the continuation of such activities that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
