Orange Jordan organised an awareness session titled “Intellectual Property and the Journey of Establishing Small Businesses” at the Innovation Hub in the Orange Digital Village. The session targeted entrepreneurs in the BIG by Orange programme, as well as participants in the Digital Fabrication Labs and the Coding Academy.
Delivered by international expert Charles Shaaban, the session highlighted the significance of intellectual property (IP) for entrepreneurial and startup ventures. Key topics included choosing and registering a company name, building a brand, and understanding various types of intellectual property rights such as trademarks, copyrights, patents, designs, and trade secrets.
The interactive session encouraged participants to discuss the importance of documenting inventions, innovations, and business activities, emphasising how such practices contribute to the sustainable growth and development of businesses.
Orange Jordan stressed that equipping entrepreneurs and young professionals with critical knowledge early in their business journeys reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for success. By enriching their understanding of key aspects of company establishment, Orange aims to drive greater national growth.
This session aligns with Orange Jordan’s methodology of consistently providing knowledge, tools, empowerment, and networking opportunities to every group involved in its programmes.
